Conversation as Creative Speech

Wiki is slow, probably too slow. Chat is fast, probably too fast. Can we have it both ways in one place?

Everything we say has a hint of genius. It is through conversation, relentless study, and then more conversation that the genius distills.

A thought worth investigation flies by on chat. You think, that a good idea. But then here comes another one. Maybe someone else will investigate it?

If we integrate chat with wiki then the promising ideas can be pulled out and incubated in a few pages that are often visited. If an idea doesn't catch fire it is best sent to the basement for future spelunkers to find.

One other quality we could find from mixing wikis and chats would be that we could ''fold'' chat history and avoid the backlog issue for new users. For instance the riot room for the federated wiki is intimidating for new users (technical terms...). Some experienced users do the remarkable job of welcoming them but maybe folding these technical discussions would make the room more welcoming
